Hey darlings! how many of you tuned in to watch the Academy Awards yesterday? As we all know, it wouldn’t be the Oscars if it weren’t for some of those jaw-dropping gowns that parade on the red carpet on the most magical night in Hollywood!

Here are some of my very favorite looks from yesterday, hope you enjoy them

First off, is the exceptionally beautiful Lupita Nyong’o wearing a custom-made Prada gown and matching satin heels that made her look every inch the princess…and a princess she was indeed! This was an incredible night for 31 year-old Lupita who scooped up the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 12 Years a Slave (and totally stole the show, might I add!).

oscar 1I also loved Kate Hudson’s entire look, defined by a soft and gracious feel to it that oozed old Hollywood glamour! While the front of her dress was beautiful, it was the back which deserved its place in the stunner hall for me! I think the ivory color also worked wonders for her, mixing with her hair color and respecting her complexion. Courtesy of Atelier Versace, ladies and gentlemen!

oscar 4Next up is Sandra Bullock who looked effortlessly chic and sophisticated in Alexander McQueen. While the main cut is very simple and classic, the details in the front definitely made the difference, commanding attention and highlighting Sandra’s beautiful waistline. Although McQueen doesn’t always work for everyone, I think Sandra really nailed it! Not to mention, her movie Gravity was THE winner!

oscar 3Now we all know it wouldn’t be a best-dressed list without Angelina Jolie, I mean I think she could just sit in a garbage bag and still make the list…but you know, let’s give her credit for actually putting effort in picking out gowns like the rest of those gorgeous human beings on the red carpet! This year’s choice was a safe yet elegant Elie Saab metallic gown, allowing Angie to support her husband’s big win (Brad produced the winner 12 Years A Slave) without overshadowing him!

oscar 2And last but not least, I really liked Jennifer Lawrence‘s coral dress, Dior of course! I think it complemented her frame and short hair beautifully, giving her an edgy yet still classical, feminine and alluring look…well done! oscar 5Hope you enjoyed these looks and would love to hear about your favorites!
